My name is Raees Edwards, 19 years old. Coming all the way from Cape Town ,South Africa.
I grew up in a so called “quiet” area in Cape town called Athlone. Though not the most beautiful place in the world, it’s the place I call home. Athlone with all it’s hidden beauty, stemming from a tight community and sense of familia. My home , my beauty.
Growing up I’ve dreamt big. Very big. I’ve dreamt of that were far out of reach and things only but a fingertip away. Dreams are what make us and I’m striving towards all of mine.
I’ve always dreamt of being a professional skateboarder. Just the thought of it give me chills. Skating around the world, exploring, learning. Skating is one of my trio of greatest dreams.
The second dream is art. Art has always inspired me . I guess this is bound to happen when you grow up around a grandfather who is a complete art fanatic and guru. My grandfather set the standard for me art. He has made me , willing , love and be passionate about it. Art can take you places, art can take you anywhere.
The third dream. Cars. My passion for cars is untamed and raw. Cars invoke a certain feeling in me that I cannot explain. Whether it’s the breathtaking looks or the heart melting sound. It just has me. Cape town has a massive car enthusiast family. Whether it’s the flashy stance or the loud drag scene at Killarney on Wednesday night’s ,they all come together to create something simply amazing. My love for cars started from a very young age. My dad always had nice cars and up till today has a nice car. He has made me love cars since day one. Thus I’m pursuing a career in motor mechanics to achieve my dream.
In all this is just a brief beginning of.My story and I’ll surely post some more.
